How many people get to:

How many people get to:
Drive their kids to school every morning so you can start their day with a laugh and positive comments?
Drive by the beach and watch the sunrise every morning?
Occasionally take a heated, enclosed ferryboat to an island, where there is a comfortable house and more beaches?
Look for seals, watch the gulls, see the colors in the trees surrounding a picturesque New England shoreline?

Falmouth, MA is reputed to have more waterfront than any other town in the United States.
It is one of the largest towns on Cape Cod, and I think it is the best year round town to live in or visit.
You can get a great meal year round, shop, and stroll the beaches.

Lately, I have been reminding myself that I get to live in a place that people come to for vacation.
It has all that a big city has to offer, except high taxes and busy-ness.

The ferry I am on from Falmouth to Vineyard Haven is a 45 minute ride that can be either peaceful or stormy.
Today I am glad that the water is like glass, there is more sun than clouds, and the temperature is only chilly.
It will be a great ride to set my mind to get the things done on the Vineyard that will help another homeowner.

Hey Heath,

How about some photos??  (when you get a chance)

I share your feelings about driving to school - I love that time with my daughter, also.

I'll see if i have any good photos.

The day did turn stormy and the ride back to Falmouth was very rough.  But, it was still a good trip and I supervised the work being done that the owner needed.

We are very fortunate indeed to live in areas that others come to visit and vacation. We are very blessed.

Years ago my wife wanted to go somewhere different.  She was born and raised in this city I was a transplant.  I agreed to plan a weekend getaway.  So being a tightwad I planned an our city getaway thanks to the free Dept of Chamber guide and coupons.

We left our home, checked into a local hotel and experienced our city as a tourist would.  Dayton Ohio is not on the Maps for a destination, but it has alot to offer.  I showed my wife (who grew up here) things she had never heard about.

In city vacations are great!

Heath

Thanks for making me take a moment to stop and smell the plumeria. Living on a tropical island, I enjoy these activities every day, and yet the daily challenges we all face often make me lose sight of the true gifts that bless my life.

Aloha
