What Makes Falmouth MA Great!?

What Makes Falmouth MA Great!

What Makes Falmouth MA Great!? Well, where to start. It could be that Falmouth is in the southwest corner of Cape Cod - one of the places that the world visits for vacations. It could be that having the most waterfront of any town in the United States provides both visitors and residents with beautiful beaches, boating, sunsets, seafood, historical adventures, bird watching, whale watching, and now shark watching, picturesque vistas, summer baseball, nature walks, and relaxation all year long. Or it could be the varied people from diverse places who are here part time and full time.

Falmouth is the second largest of The Cape's 15 towns and it is in the southwest corner, aka Upper Cape, aka Shoulder Area of The Cape. With approximately 23,000 properties, and over 50 square miles of Cape Cod terra firma and miles and miles of waterfront, Falmouth satisfies. Here is a click-able map of some Falmouth beaches.

There is something to do in Falmouth all year long. Whether you are looking for good food, shops, golf, or relaxation, Falmouth can satisfy. Main Street restaurants vary from Tex-Mex and Italian, to traditional Seafood, and Sandwiches. Ice Cream, Cupcakes, and Candies can be found in specialty shops, too. Activities include road races and marathons, and the largest Christmas Parade in Southeastern MA.

Activities in town are based around summer visitors from late June to early September. Then for the rest of the year, Falmouth provides relaxation and entertainment for golfers, artists, historians, fishermen, runners, bikers, walkers, and anyone looking to escape the rat race comfortably. The Cape, and Falmouth in particular, is gaining attention as an alternative to "The Hamptons" because of its accessibility, peaceful amenities, and reasonable real estate values and low taxes.

When people are looking for a comfortable, year round getaway, Falmouth has a lot to offer every taste and interest.

Great place to visit and live in the summer.  My brother in law moved from Mashpee to Westford recently. They have high opinion of life quality.

Thanks for your participation of this contest.

I am a Freedom Boat Club member and I see there are several opportunities near you!  That sounds like a great plan for a vacation, I am going to try to convince my husband to consider it next Summer!

I have not been here, but I will put it on my list of places to visit the next time I am in New England. It looks gorgeous!
