Ahhh, the benefits of the Real Estate Profession - like "late breakfast!" ;^]

I like "Late Breakfast!"  So many times in the last month I have been confronted with the difficulties of this business.  The ups and downs of prices, the disloyalties, the un-ethical practices from people who say they don't, and so on.  But today I am enjoying being a real estate professional.  I get to take time to watch my kids play sports, or give a concert.  I can take time to meet at the high school with a kid that wants mentoring.  I can go to the beach and enjoy a time walking and listening to the waves rolling.  And, I can enjoy a "late breakfast" at home after I take all the kids to school.

"Late breakfasts" are top of the list actually.  We often have "breakfast," so it isn't the food that I like but the time "having breakfast" when no teenagers are there inhibiting our boistrous exclaimations about how good the "breakfast" is!  Some say that little kids interfere with "breakfast", but I find the knowing ears of teenagers more inhibiting.  There are only so may doors to close, and they stay up so much later as teenagers which makes getting some good "breakfast" hard to schedule.   Of course, after a good "breakfast" the whole sunny day seems so much brighter for my wife, too.  She just called me to thank me for such a good "breakfast" and to tell me all the things she was already getting done after a refreshing buffet.  I told her I was available for lunch, too.

So, when all the struggles of this unique profession start clouding your day, go have some late "breakfast" or an early "lunch."  It makes so many other things less stressful.

Hey, I agree...Denny's restaurant is next door to the office...make that a late grand slam!

Heath, Oh how I can relate to those teenage years,  had 4 teenagers at the same time!  LOL. But, make sure to relish the time( as hard as it can be sometimes) you have with them right now.   Yes, Having your own business in real estate definitely had it's advantages.

I cant agree with you more, Heath. I am enjoying a day with my son now, well he is napping now so I have three hours to get my chores done. Thanks and have  a blessed day, Jim.

Being a Realtor does have it's perks!  I'm from the old days, I fix breakfast every morning for my husband, biscuits and gravy, ham, eggs,  and I grind my coffee beans!  I love cooking!  My grandson call my breakfast, "Five Star!"

Thanx for the comments.   Denny's can be satisfying to the palate. Time with my kids is priceless.  Getting chores done is helpful.  But getting some good uninhibited, uninterrupted, loud and rowdy "breakfast" with my wife, relaxes the mind and body and unites a couple unlike Denny's or kids or chores cannot.

Hmm..perhaps to take time to eat breakfast at all would be a start to enjoying what this field has to offer. So often I am caught in the hustle and bustle of trying to be a power broker that I neglect myself, and forget to take time to smell the roses.

Every once in a while you are reminded of why you got into in the first place...besides the income.

Thanks for the reminder.
