What does a termite tunnel look like? Here's one example from a house we have listed. I have seen termite tubes going up walls, or along a beam or sill, but I have never seen one that looks like a stalactite. This beam also has "powder post beetles" but the hanging structures are termite tunnels.
This is a great Cape Cod location. Almost one acre and two buildings that were built around 1920. They have seen The Cape develop and evolve from a man made island of woods, cranberries, strawberries, and seafood related businesses to a resort destination for people from all over the world and all walks of life.
Abutting this property is land that has been set aside as conservation / not developable. Trails lead to one of the ocean inlets that are so numerous in Falmouth, Greed Pond. Canoeing, kayaking, motoring out to the ocean is easy from here.
Falmouth is "the best" town on The Cape, according to me. We have more waterfront than any other town in the U. S. and our year round economy provides eats, shopping, and entertainment every day. Sometimes on the way home I drive by Vineyard Sound and listen to the waves and relax a little.
But, this is about termite tunnels, so here's the pic. Of course if you'd like to buy a home in Falmouth, I'd be glad to help.
